PANEL - Emerging innovations in strong multifactor authentication

SILVER ROOM "THE LAB" - 206
Day 1 - April 30

Authentication innovation and security techniques has generally been considered ‘solved’, yet, we still don’t have the consumer and relying party adoption necessary to truly mitigate the growing list of breaches associated with digital identities. In addition, usability is still an issue, and the notion of ‘passwordless’, while a utopian goal, depends on biometrics that not only perform well, but can defend against an expansive and in many cases, unknown, number of remote attacks.

This panel will explore innovations, future architectures, and barriers to ubiquitous strong authentication – as well as exploring necessary changes to frameworks and standards to increase global interoperability, authenticator acceptance and, ultimately, an increase in commerce and national security.
