The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Biometric Identity Management Biometric (OBIM) has begun development of an advanced biometric identification system called the Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) to expand and deliver enhanced biometric identity services to DHS and its mission partners. HART is being designed to leverage technological advances such as multi-modal capabilities and more efficient processing to provide a flexible and scalable platform to meet DHS’s mid- and long-term biometric identity needs.
This presentation will focus on the following areas:
• Status update of current HART development post-contract award;
• Discussion and review about HART’s development plans for Increment 1 and 2;
• Review of future increment planning and way ahead.
